Convenient nurse visits for labs, injections, testing, and follow-up care
Some care can be handled through a scheduled nurse or medical assistant visit without seeing a physician. Please call ahead so we can reserve a time and make sure the correct orders are available.
What Nurse Visits Can Include
Quick, focused visits when a provider exam is not required
Nurse visits help patients complete ordered tests, monitoring, injections, screenings, and follow-up services more efficiently. Some services require a physician or specialist order before they can be performed.
Blood Draws
Please call ahead for lab draws. If fasting labs are ordered, avoid food for 8–12 hours unless instructed otherwise.
Injections & Immunizations
Nurse visits may be used for certain injections, vaccines, and follow-up treatments when appropriate.
Checks & Screenings
Blood pressure checks, urine screenings, ProTime checks, and other monitoring may be scheduled when clinically appropriate.

Lab Visit Tips
Preparing for blood work
Call ahead for a blood draw time
Scheduling ahead helps limit waiting time and allows our team to confirm that the correct lab order is available.
Fast for 8–12 hours when instructed
If fasting labs are ordered, do not eat for 8–12 hours before your blood draw. Water and black coffee are usually acceptable unless your clinician gives different instructions.
Morning appointments may be easier
Many patients prefer early morning lab visits so they can fast overnight and avoid missing meals during the day.
Orders May Be Required
Some nurse visits require a physician or specialist order
We are happy to draw blood before your physical so results may be available for your exam, but labs must be ordered by one of our physicians or one of your specialists with an appropriate diagnosis.
